Interstitial Cystitis (IC)

Do you have bladder pain? Feel like you always have to go to the bathroom, even if you just went? Does exercise, sex or your period make your pain and symptoms worse? You may have something called Interstitial Cystitis. Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is also known painful bladder syndrome, effects both women and men. There is no clear cause of IC but is speculated it maybe it is caused by many factors including hereditary, autoimmune, allergy or infection. There is no known cure for IC. But, there are things you can do to help ease your symptoms and get out of the bathroom! Dietary changes, stress reduction, meditation, exercise can all help.

Physical Therapy can help too! A physical therapist (PT) with specialized training in pelvic health and pain can guide you as you learn to help yourself feel better.
